PASSION, PURPOSE, PLAN

I have been a“creative” person most of my life, inviting and sharing what I have learned with others. Over the past 20 years my heart was opened to missionary work.  While most of my experience was joyful, witnessing the suffering of others struggling to survive was heart-breaking. Church mission boards, mission agencies, and individuals try their best to help in significant ways. They often work to bring hope and independence to the materially poor.  I’ve watched the struggle to raise support and awareness for the overwhelming needs of those who do not have adequate resources.  I wanted to join their efforts beyond providing financial support but I was unsure how. One morning during my quiet time I felt led to start exhibiting my art again.  As part of my bio, I strive to bring awareness to these ministries’ purposes and the people they reach. I was also inspired to donate the proceeds to ministries, both local and abroad, which I trust and admire.

Creating art tells a story and brings joy by temporarily transporting us to a peaceful place and time.  I invite women who need a place where they can come and spend a few hours in the Art2Soul studio to relax, refresh and rejuvenate. Faith is the cornerstone of Art2Soul, it centers us and feeds our creativity, as it deepens our faith.  I am grateful for the insight, and opportunity God has given me to create with purpose.
